Membership Types & Procedure
Membership Application Procedure
Application for membership shall be made on the form prescribed by and obtainable from the Club. Each application, together with the prescribed fees, shall be proposed and seconded by two members, in good standing with the Club. The Proposer is responsible to introduce the applicant to a BOARD member. Thereafter, the application form shall be presented to the BOARD for final ratification.
Membership Categories available
This class of membership entitles the member, his/her spouse/partner and their children under the age of 21 to be members of the Club.
This class of membership entitles any one person, over the age of 18 years, to be a member of the Club.
This class of membership entitles any one person who is a bona fide full time student of a University, Tech or similar educational institution or is an apprentice, to become a member. (No entrance fee is charged).
This class of membership entitles any one person who resides (permanently) more than 200 kilometers from Theewaterskloof Dam to be a member of the Club.
This class of membership entitles any one person under the age of 18 years to be a member of the Club. (No entrance fee is charged).
This class of membership entitles a member who has had to emigrate from the Republic of South Africa (permanently or short term) to retain his membership of the Club.
This class of membership is only available for persons permanently residing within the local Theewaterskloof area.
This is a once-off payment that is paid on joining the Club. The relevant entrance fee for 2013/2014 is R2,750.00. For Ordinary, Country and Absentee members the fee is R1,650.00. Please note: Any person who has been a member in good standing of another watersports club for more than 3 years, Youth, Student, Honorary, Temporary, Social and Schools / Tertiary Institutions members are exempt from paying an entrance fee.
Annual payment. Pro-rated monthly fees are rounded off.
This membership fee has to be paid by all TSC members that participate in any form of circuit/competitive sailing. This amount is paid directly by the Club to SAS (South African Sailing).
