Club Championships Update
It has been a busy start to the season for the club as we re-introduced the club sailing and angling championships. Once a month we welcome members to race and compete in these disciplines in order to gain an overall position on the club scoreboard. At the end of the season we will announce the winners and award club trophies to those who compete. The month of October delivered some incredible conditions for both sailing and angling.
Umoya, skippered by Mary-Ann Sharwood, had a late start but managed to overtake Oulik, skippered by Erik Renzenbrink and Christo Rust to finish in first place.
On the angling side we had a much bigger group competing and we saw Jacques Terblanche walk away with the biggest catch of the day and Franco Smit with the most amount of carp in the bag.
Well done to everyone who participated and we look forward to November for some more racing and hopefully a round of bass fishing!
